The Coordinator will commence as a dog reading team volunteer and after two school terms receive training to take on the Coordinator position. The Coordinator will recruit, train, support, manage and give recognition to volunteers within the region. The position will also raise awareness of the Story Dogs brand and services. This is a non paid, volunteer role. This role requires you to have a suitable dog.

Would you enjoy assisting to maintain the significant native garden area of Geelong's award winning Aboriginal Cultural Centre. Of course, you will need to put up with our friendly Kangaroos and Wallabies who will pester you for food.

Take your dog into a local Rockingham / Baldivis school on the same morning each week for approx. 2 hours during school terms. You will see a total of 4 or 5 children. Each child will come out of their classroom and sit with you and your dog for approx. 20 minutes. You must be able to commit for at least two school terms or more.

Outgoing and engaging personality willing to learn about wildlife and pass the knowledge on to others in an interactive manner. Conduct both onsite and off site educational experiences.
