The Social Connection Volunteer will support people who feel isolated in building social connections within the local community.

You will be matched with families and tasks based on your experience, skills and interests and the family’s needs. We would like you to commit for 12 months and to be flexible when volunteering. The support you are expected to give will vary from family to family and may change during your time with us. We will provide you with adequate training and supervision.

Inclusion Melbourne’s Leisure Buddy program matches like-minded people to undertake social activities within our community on a fortnightly basis. We are focused on creating genuine, long term connections between volunteers and our Leisure Buddy participants. The group provides an opportunity for clients, to express their experiences, feedback, ideas, challenges and concerns about services and business practices. A volunteer is required to help upskill and mentor clients to participate in the group.
