We are seeking a mentor! At genU we facilitate a Leadership Group to give voice to our clients living with disabilities. The group provides an opportunity for clients, to express their experiences, feedback, ideas, challenges and concerns about services and business practices. A volunteer is required to help upskill and mentor clients to participate in the group.

Do you enjoy meeting new people? We are seeking a volunteer one day a week (with preference for Wednesdays from 10:00am – 2:00pm) to be the first point of contact for our front reception, by meeting and greeting visitors into our Kooyong centre at Vision Australia. After settling into the role, there is flexibility for other half day shifts for e.g. 9:00am – 1:00pm or 1:00 – 4:30pm from Monday to Friday.

Inclusion Melbourne’s Leisure Buddy program matches like-minded people to undertake social activities within our community on a fortnightly basis. We are focused on creating genuine, long term connections between volunteers and our Leisure Buddy participants. Therefore, we require a minimum commitment of 12 months and two to three hours per fortnight.
