CaringKids is seeking passionate and dedicated toy workshop volunteers to join our team. Volunteers will assist with checking and sorting of toy donations, and packing bespoke Toy Boxes filled with games, toys, stationery and sports equipment. The Facilitator role is well suited to someone with good communications skills and confidence in public speaking. Ideally you will have experience facilitating a support group and/or demonstrate the ability to lead a balanced discussion. Personal experience with macular disease is desirable, not necessary.

The Macular Disease Foundation of Australia (MDFA) is the national peak body representing the macular disease community.  Our four pillars of work include:  prevention and early detection, supporting the community to live optimally with macular conditions, systemic advocacy and research.  There are an estimated 1.4m Australians with some evidence of age-related macular degeneration, which is the most common macular disease.

Working as part of a team of volunteers, you will provide customer service and sales assistance at the Noffs Opportunity Shop. Day-to-day tasks can include; advising customers of pricing, entering all takings in to the cash register, clothes and goods sorting, and ensuring the facility is clean and tidy.
