Lack of transport is a common barrier for seniors to remain part of their community. Having no transport can stop them from doing the things they need to do, and leads to feelings of loneliness and isolation. If you enjoy driving, you can make a difference by helping with their transport needs to important medical appointments or social activities.

As a Group Social Support Volunteer, you will be enabling seniors to live independent, active and social lifestyles by: • Transporting clients from their homes to social activities. • Assisting with events logistics and as requested by the Team Leader Our Volunteers tell us that helping other people provides meaning, purpose, and stronger connections with their community.
