Are you a keen tinkerer, handyman, or gardener? Or do you just happen to be good with your hands? Bethanie Joondanna Aged Care Home is seeking a volunteer for one-to-one visits and/or small group engagement with some of our male residents. You'll assist residents to participate in hands-on activities aligned to their interests and abilities whilst taking the time to have a good chat.

88-year-old Madge would like a friendly visitor to chat with her over an afternoon coffee. Feeling lonely can cause Madge to become anxious so a companion who wants nothing more than a decent chat would help her a lot. If you have a spare hour or more any week day afternoon to spend with Madge, she would love to meet you. She doesn't mind keeping you company while you knit or crochet, she will be happy having your company.

Saturdays 1pm to 4pm in Fremantle. Our group assistants help young people on the Autism Spectrum with various social activities. Activities include arts, crafts, bowling, laser tag and more. This rewarding opportunity would suit those studying community services, social work, psychology etc

Mondays or Fridays 4:30pm to 7:30pm. Spectrum Space runs a social group for kids on the spectrum aged 10 to 18 years. The group runs every Monday or Friday from 4:30pm. This would be a great opportunity for psychology/social work/community service students to gain experience working with children with autism.
