This role provides one-on-one social support to the socially isolated elderly in a Residential Aged Care Home or on a Home Care Package.

The Aged Care Volunteer is matched with a socially or culturally isolated resident in the community or in an aged care facility. Visits are minimum of 1 hour a fortnight. The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme is across the NT - in Darwin, Nhulunbuy, Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs.

Join The Violet Initiative as a Violet Guide and support Australians through one of life's most challenging stages. Dedicate 4 hours a week from home, providing compassionate phone support to caregivers and the bereaved. Violet Guides deliver this support over the phone, at no cost to the carer.
