The Greenough Museum welcomes Volunteers who are enthusiastic and committed to assisting the museum to preserve, document and interpret its collections. The museum recognises the value of Volunteer work in both its day to day running and for future planning. The Monsignor Hawes Heritage Centre (MHHC) is a state-of-the-art interpretive centre, within the grounds of St Francis Xavier's Cathedral, that tells the story of architect-priest Monsignor John Cyril Hawes. The Monsignor Hawes Museum Attendant will engage with visitors to help them appreciate the wonderful story of Monsignor John Cyril Hawes and to take the opportunity to visit the many places he built in the Midwest and Gascoyne region of WA.

The Saint Francis Xavier Cathedral is a landmark building of international importance. The story of this fabulous twentieth century cathedral has been published world-wide in a book listing 83 magnificent cathedrals from around the world. This beautiful cathedral is situated at 56 Cathedral Ave Geraldton (corner of Maitland St). It is open to the public from 7.00am until 5.30pm, 7 days a week, except Public Holidays when it's open from 9am.

Located in a beautifully restored two storey house alongside Maley's Mill, the Greenough Museum offers an insight into a bygone era. The homestead was built between 1862 and 1880 for John Maley (King of the Greenough Flats), miller, storekeeper, hotel proprietor, entrepreneur and father of 14 children. The museum examines the social life of the Front Greenough Flats from Aboriginal time until today. View the historic trees and wander the community vege garden. Open daily 8.30am to 3.00pm

Albany’s Historic Whaling Station is the home of Australia’s last whaling company, and now provides a fascinating insight into Albany’s colourful past. Recognised as a heritage site, we are an engaging and educational tourism attraction for all ages. We are on the lookout for additional volunteers to join our team.

Volunteers are needed to help out at the Historic Albany Goal (not the real one!). Training will be provided. so that you will be able to provided. Also locking and unlocking the goal. Currently looking for people to do a shift on the weekend; Saturday & or Sunday alternating shifts 10-1 or 1-4pm. Sunday 10-1. If you like to meet new people and love history this could be a great opportunity for you.

Front of House Volunteers provide a warm and friendly welcome for visitors to the Museum and also play a valuable role in maintaining Museum security during opening hours. They engage with visitors and share knowledge and enthusiasm for the Museum and Esperance history. This is a key role ensuring that the Museum is open on the publicised day.

Interesting and diverse secretarial position on 8-person committee, great role for versatile person with computer, filing and phone skills. Building is 100 years and an important part of Busselton's history. Come and be a part of it too!

An onsite painter is needed at Albany's Historic Whaling Station. You may also work in the wildlife park, and you will assist the onsite maintenance team. 5 hours one day a week is required, and you will be paid $40 for your fuel costs. Onsite OH&S Training will be conducted.
