We are looking for Arabic or Rohingya speaking volunteers to provide language support to adult migrants and refugees attending our monthly Women’s Group in Zillmere. Volunteers play an important role in creating welcome, inclusion and belonging.

Do you have a free hour per week to make a positive difference in a refugee family’s life? Would you like to welcome newly arrived refugees by helping them learn English and settle in to the Brisbane community? Vinnies QLD's Volunteer Refugee Tutoring and Community Support (VoRTCS) program provides in-home tutoring support to refugee families in Brisbane. Just an hour volunteering per week can make a huge difference in making people from refugee backgrounds feel welcome in the community.

Learning English is the most important factor in helping new migrants and refugees settle in Australia.
