Commitment is bi-monthly for 2hour daytime meetings. BDEC engages with government, community agencies, and the public in order to encourage the preservation of the natural environment in the local area. They undertake a number of practical and administrative initiatives.

This position is 80% Bookkeeping and reporting to the BDEC committee at bi-monthly meetings and the AGM. Volunteer needs to attend meetings in person.

Qualified and Experienced Local Native Plant Seed Collector wanted to collect native seed for a local Nursery specialising in indigenous local plants. Also propagating seed and maintaining seed inventory on a data base.

A Busselton group dedicated to local native plants requires a creative media and newsletter person to write news and attend to various social media platforms. Volunteer needs website knowledge and excellent computer skills.

Wirambi Landcare is Western Australian not-for-profit organisation focused on increasing the awareness of our unique wildlife. We offer a wide range of conservation projects in the metro area as well as projects in regional WA. These projects include tree planting, seed collection, endangered species protection, weed control, flora and fauna surveys, and environmental monitoring.

The Friends of Booragoon and Blue Gum Lakes, is involved in revegetation at the lakes. We meet on a monthly basis to weed around the plants we’ve planted in past years, and we also schedule planting days at both lakes.

Return It has partnered with Milligan Community Centre and we need someone who can provide a friendly and helpful service to everyone who walks through our doors, making sure every experience counts. The Concierge role has been designed to ensure that every community member has a positive story to tell after visiting the Return It depot when recycling their containers. Swan Estuary Reserves Action Group, SERAG, is a local group of volunteers who enjoy hands-on caring and restoring health to the A-Class foreshore and bush reserves adjacent to the Swan River Estuary Marine Park on Melville’s river front in Attadale, Alfred Cove and Tompkins Park. Volunteers will weed and/or plant for two hours of a morning, then share a cuppa and cake together (provided) whilst enjoying the beautiful location that they are helping to restore and maintain.
