Inclusion Melbourne's award-winning Leisure Buddy program matches volunteers with adults with a disability so they can develop a genuine friendship and participate in social activities.

Our client in Melville/Palmyra would like a visitor who can visit for coffee and chats. Some Auslan skills required (but you don't need to be fluent). This would be a good role for someone who wants experience/practise with Auslan.

Volunteer with people with Down syndrome in a fun exercise program FitSkills FitSkills is an evidence-based physical activity program for people with Down syndrome. In this program the person with Down syndrome will be matched with a volunteer partner. Together they will exercise at their local gym, fitness centre or health club. The program runs for 10 weeks per term and participants go to the gym together once a week followed by a meal with other participants and volunteers.

Down syndrome Victoria runs a social group for adults with Down syndrome, we’re called Club21. Club21 has been going in Melbourne for over 10 years and we are very excited to bring Club21 to Warrnambool! Club21 goes out on weekends and does fun, social activities together: going out for lunch, singing Karaoke, watching a show. We are looking for volunteers to support the Club21 social group

The Bridge is always looking for volunteers that are willing to support people living with disabilities and disadvantaged backgrounds to enjoy a range of recreational and sporting activities. We have a wide range of activities that our participants can engage in and each activity is in need of volunteers to assist our staff and support workers.

ADventure Out is a fun Disability Social group for people with mild to moderate disabilities, operating in the St George and Sutherland Shire. We go out on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to a variety of outings like barbecues, movies, clubs, ferry trips etc. If you are up for a chat and a cuppa with our lovely group and can commit to a day or two a week, we would love to have you onboard. This is a really rewarding experience as you brighten up someones day !

Our volunteers have the opportunity to positively impact the elderly or people with disabilities by giving free trishaw rides on e-bikes. Full training is provided. Our pilots are everyone from directors to senior citizens and students (18yrs +)

Fishability assists children and adults requiring support to experience the joy of fishing with the assistance from trained and experienced volunteers and by using purpose-built motorised rods, reels and fishing rod holders and providing: Organised shore, jetty and boat based fishing activities, acts in an advocacy role in promoting inclusive participation in recreational fishing. Wheelchair accessible vessels for guided river, ocean and estuary fishing trips.

The Roundabout Project is a volunteer peer support project that aims to assist participants with Disability to engage with our LGBTIQA+ community encouraging networking and connections. By sharing personal experiences and developing mutual peer-to-peer friendship, participants may gain a greater sense of connection to community and develop a deeper sense of belonging, self-esteem, and interpersonal trust.
