Participants experience social isolation, so volunteers provide them with companionship and support to engage in a variety of activities tailored to their hobbies, interests, and abilities. This extends their social network, offers them new opportunities and experiences, and provides a much needed break for their carer. Some volunteers have the young person stay at their place once a month. This also provides the young persons carer with some respite and support.

We are looking for presenters and technical operators in be a part of our Radio team. Vision Australia radio put print to audio, and ensure all members of the community have access to community information and news. Volunteers will receive full training to undertake the role, as well as mentoring from fellow radio volunteers.
