We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised volunteer to provide admin support in our friendly office environment. The role includes general administrative tasks, some scanning, and photocopying, answering the phones when our staff are busy, receiving and sorting mail.

We currently have volunteer positions available at Kith and Kin Creative Learning Centre on Ingham Road. Our Creative Learning Centre provides the community with a space to come and learn new things, make new friends, show off their skills and have a heap of fun. We are a community-based disability service administered by a volunteer Management Committee composed mainly of family members/advocates of people with a disability. We are looking for volunteers to join our management committee.

Sailability has a variety of roles available for Volunteers. This organisation provides assistance to people with disabilities to participate in a sailing program. If you are experienced in sailing you can be a skipper, you could be fitting life jackets, or helping them in and out of the boats. Registering everyone at the sessions could be more suitable to you. Lots to do each Tuesday/ Thursday - join the team - 8am - 1 pm.

You do not need to have horse experience to volunteer at APRDA but you could pick up some horse experience by volunteering with us. We are seeking people to assist us with our horse based activities. A great opportunity to help a great cause and get some exercise. A level of fitness is essential as you can be required to stand and walk for up to 1 hour in lessons. Each rider has a volunteer leading their horse and most will have at least one side walker in support. (C)

TransitCare is an innovative not-for-profit organisation dedicated to assisting our clients to remain active in the community and live independently in their own homes. We achieve this through the provision of shared pre-booked transport and social support programs for people with disabilities; and older members of our community. Down Syndrome Queensland (DSQ) organises social programs to develop skills, build capacity and empower people living with Down syndrome or an Intellectual Disability now and in the future. Our programs are open to those aged 12 years and over.

Down Syndrome Queensland (DSQ) is organising for our young adults with Down syndrome to attend our Challenge Weekend Camps throughout the year and require volunteers to assist us with this event. There are multiple opportunities throughout the year: we will require the volunteers to be available from 3pm Friday to approximately 12pm Sunday. Dates range however camps are usually held in March and November.
