We are looking for a support person for our Inclusive Communities Program. You will be assisting tutors and participants within our wide range of activities. Inclusion Foundation is looking for volunteers to support their **emotion21** program. emotion21 provides innovative dance and fitness programs for children and young adults with Down syndrome. Through performance-based activities and community engagement, emotion21 aims to enhance lives for people with Down syndrome. People with an interest in disability, young people, education/learning support, behavioural support, music/movement/dance are strongly encouraged to apply.

Support a person with a disability to connect with the community and to engage in activities and groups that align with their interests, skills and/or abilities. Social Support Volunteers will receive training and ongoing support. We ask that volunteers commit to volunteer for 12 months or longer.

This extends their social network, offers them new opportunities and experiences, and provides a much needed break for their carer. Some volunteers have the young person stay at their place once a month. This also provides the young persons carer with some respite and support.

Volunteer with the Interchange Network of disability service providers and buddy up with a young person living with disability to spend regular time with them sharing hobbies or interests, going to the movies or a football game, or just hanging out watching your favourite shows at home.

As a volunteer walking buddy, you will be helping a blind and hearing impaired male get out of the house, reintroduce more physical activity into his life and feel socially connected. Flexible with days and 1 hour time commitment per week.
