About this opportunity

A Community Centre providing a range of specialised and innovative support services which enhance the quality of life for people with an intellectual disability and their families requires volunteers to work in a variety of roles, including leisure buddies to residents, Day Program activity support - art, craft, massage and computers - recreation assistance, weekend excursions, Thursday evening Disco, Opportunity Shop assistance on Fridays and Saturdays in Huntingdale, at the Disability Workshop in South Oakleigh and in maintenance and gardening.

Volunteers need to be aged 17 and over. Out of business hours and occasional short term volunteering is available. On the job training is provided for all positions, as well as one to one orientation at registration.Police Check required and Working with Children Check required for some roles.
