This role is fundamental to the services that WA Mums Cottage provides to women and families in our community.

Volunteers are required to work with our dedicated care team to deliver a range of meaningful activities for clients such as music, arts and crafts, puzzles and board games, gardening, meal preparation and social outings in the community. Volunteers must be over 18 years old, complete a National Police check application (reimbursed by Silverchain) and due to the nature of the position proof of COVID-19 vaccinations or GP exemption.

Our volunteers support clients with a life-limiting illness in their homes. Volunteers may offer companionship and practical support. They can provide social support to those living on their own; respite to a client’s carer (i.e. a couple of hours break to a carer each week); or help with shopping. Volunteers must be over 18 years old, able to work on their own in the community but are part of a larger team of dedicated volunteers and staff. Training is provided.
