Community Driver - Helping People and Changing Lives

Community Services Regular - more than 6 months Middle Swan WA

About this opportunity

We have vacancies for both car and bus drivers.

It’s good to know your way around, but the vehicles all have navigation systems to guide you. We’ll provide training for the 2-way radios and there is always somebody in the office to provide advice should you need it. Our larger 20-seater buses used for shopping trips and group outings require an LR licence, but if that’s not for you, then we’ve got plenty of cars and 12-seater minibuses you can drive!

In this role you will be required to transport seniors to and from clubs, medical appointments and social outings using our wagons, 12 seater buses, and 20 seater buses (if applicable). You will need a good knowledge of the Perth metro area, although all vehicles have GPS. Training will be provided in two way radio operation. Drivers are responsible for the welfare, comfort and safety of their clients from their homes to their destination and return.

We offer an exciting volunteer incentive program including training, uniforms, travel reimbursements, social club membership, events, and ! a rewarding experience. We have funded social events for the volunteers each year in May and December and informal gatherings in-between.
