The Townsville Folk Festival is an annual, volunteer run event. It is a family friendly 4 day camping and live music festival.

Crime Stoppers is a Registered Charity and Community Volunteer Organisation that is not government funded and is not a part of the police department. Crime stoppers is an organisation that assists police by collecting crime related information through an anonymous system and provides the information for police. Crime Stoppers Volunteers raise funds for a rewards program, and for the purchase of promotional merchandise required for educational purposes. Meetings are held monthly.

The Family of League has been given the exciting opportunity to be the 50:50 Raffle, charity partner at the NRL's Magic Round on Sunday 19th of May. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us raise funds to change the lives of those we support in the Rugby League community who are struggling physically, financially and emotionally. Darkness to Daylight is returning for its 11th year on the 29th - 30th May 2024. We are urgently seeking volunteers who are happy to help with functions and events. Events include our Old Style Dance, Morning Melodies, Regular Munchys - our Sausage Sizzle Style event, and varied other special events and private hire functions. We need Volunteers for set up, pack down for functions as well assistance with kitchen, wait staff, admission staff, baristas and bar staff. We are happy to provide training in these areas, just need nice people willing to help and learn.

Walk to Defeat MND is an inclusive, family-friendly event for the community to come together in support of a loved one living with MND or to pay tribute to someone lost to this devastating disease. Participants raise funds and awareness for MND to walk or roll 2km to 4km in parks or near beaches.

The Emergency Relief Food Pantry prepares food parcels for disadvantaged members of the local community. We are looking for someone to assist with the packing and distribution of these food parcels from our Pantry. The Pantry operates on weekdays from 9.00am - 1.00pm. Some moderate lifting will be required.
