Vinnies Canberra Goulburn has a diverse and dedicated workforce comprising of over 500 members, 1500 volunteers and 240 plus employees who work side by side serving those less fortunate in our communities. Vinnies Canberra/Goulburn runs a range of Youth programs to provide young people with a place of belonging and support, giving young people the opportunity to build social confidence and life-long resilience.

Seeking volunteers to support Dementia Australia staff and clients in our various social support programs, which are held on weekday mornings. Our social support programs are held every day Monday to Friday and include various opportunities to join groups such as our coffee and chat, gallery/museum groups, craft, woodworking, men’s shed and walking groups around the ACT. This program aims to foster a sense of identity and belonging, empowering migrant and refugee children and young people to achieve their full potential. Children and young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds often face numerous challenges and complex transitions upon settling into Australia. However, children are resilient and they have strengths. We seek to focus on these strengths and ensure that the children achieve their full potential as active and engaged members of the community.

The Inclusive Volunteering Pathways to Employment Program supports those living with a disability or mental health condition to find volunteering roles where they can build skills, experience and networks to reach their employment goals. We need your help to provide encouragement and support to our participants.

EWB Australia is conducting its first group facilitation training underpinned by Groupwork Centre's Model of Collaborative Practice. To boost our ability to process, retain, and recall information, we would love to bring in a Visual Note-Taker/Graphic Recorder to capture the gold nuggets in every session and our learnings as a group. Some of our staff based in Asia-Pacific will be joining us, so this training will be held online.
