Then become a mentor, who spends an hour a week being a positive role model, listening and doing activities with a student for 1 hour each week during school hours during the school year. EdConnect Australia are seeking volunteers with general life skills to help young people in primary schools who are at risk of disengaging in education.

The Hunter Cancer Hub is based in the Canteen office in Newcastle and is an exciting new project, launched in early 2022 that will act as the central point between those who are impacted by cancer and support services. The Hunter Cancer Hub (HCH) Office Administration Volunteer will play a pivotal role in supporting families and individuals who approach The Hub for support.

Canteen, delivers overnight programs, workshops and recreational and social events that bring young people together to build peer relationships. As a Psychosocial Support volunteer, your role will be to provide effective psychosocial support and information to young people during programs and specifically through the facilitation and delivery of manualised group work content on overnight programs.
