Working within a commercial kitchen facility, Catering Team Members play a key role in supporting our community by providing consistent, reliable and most importantly, nourishing meals in a safe, welcoming place. Retail Assistants (all duties) have a wide-ranging role, supporting the Store Manager in ensuring quality customer service on the shop floor, carrying out transactions at point of sale, maintaining the general appearance of the store area and assist customers to bring in donations as well as sorting and pricing items for sale.

Retail Cashiers play an important role bringing diligence, professionalism and friendliness to ensure transactions at point of sale run smoothly and efficiently. This role is often the first point of contact for customers (and donors) when entering the store or to ask questions whilst they are shopping, and is key in ensuring customers leave the store with a lasting positive impression of their shopping experience.

The process of selling items in store all starts with Retail Sorters. They play a key role in quality control, checking donated items and determining their suitability for sale. Nothing is sold without the Retail Sorter’s discerning eye for detail, their strong sense of order and good presentation, as well as their knowledge of designer brands and collectable items.

Support is provided through financial, material aid, emergency relief, housing and homeless supports. The Volunteer Community Support Assistant is the first person a community member meets when they walk through the door. First impressions count so a welcoming smile helps community members feel safe and accepted. The Community Support Assistant creates a friendly environment by offering refreshments and helping to connect community members in with the appropriate onsite supports and services.
