The native plant seed orchard aims to grow seed for revegetation on the farm site and to share knowledge and skills to be able to increase involvement of community members and make revegetation more accessible to community from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. in summer volunteers will collect and manage grassland seeds, in winter volunteers will be part of revegetation projects, in autumn volunteers will support the building and set-up of the native seed orchard.

The Children's Program Volunteer will support activities for students enrolled at Thomastown West Primary school, with additional educational support through a range of engaging activities. A significant number of these students come from culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

The Mernda Repair Café Volunteer Support will work with the MRC Team and support the running of the Mernda Repair Café monthly events. The MRC Volunteer Support will work closely with the Coordinator and Staff of the Mernda Community House and the MRC Steering group.

The volunteer tutor provides educational support after school hours to students enrolled at Edgars Creek Primary School. A significant number of these students come from culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

The program support worker provides educational support after school hours to students and their families that participate in the “Family Learning Club” program. These families and their children come from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, most of which speak English as an additional language.

The volunteer tutor provides educational support after school hours to students enrolled in local schools in the City of Whittlesea.
