for Vision Australia - Health
VA is seeking volunteers who can assist with our SWISH recreation activity being conducted in Bendigo. The role involves clients with varying vision loss and the program is designed to provide social and recreational opportunities.
We are looking for presenters and technical operators to be a part of our local radio teams. Vision Australia radio put print to audio, and ensure all members of the community have access to community information and news. Volunteers will receive full training to undertake the role, as well as mentoring from fellow radio volunteers.

Special Olympics is a not for profit organisation with the singular goal of helping those with an intellectual disability to participate in sport to enhance their physical and mental wellbeing, sense of purpose and community connections.

Down syndrome Victoria runs a social group for adults with Down syndrome, we’re called Club21. Club21 has been going in Melbourne for over 10 years and we are very excited to bring Club21 to Geelong! Club21 goes out on weekends and does fun, social activities together: going out for lunch, singing Karaoke, watching a show. We are looking for volunteers to support the Club21 social group
Volunteer to support people with Down syndrome in a fun exercise program: FitSkills FitSkills is an evidence-based physical activity program for people with Down syndrome. In this program the person with Down syndrome will be matched with a volunteer partner. The program runs throughout the term and participants go to the gym together with their matched volunteer once a week followed by a meal with other participants and volunteers.

Inclusion Melbourne believes that everyone within our community should be able to live in an inclusive community, supported by people who genuinely care for them, and have equal opportunity to participate in community life. Through our volunteer programs, we provide social support and friendship to people with a cognitive disability and older Australians who are at risk of loneliness and social isolation.
Inclusion Melbourne’s Leisure Buddy program matches like-minded people to undertake social activities within our community on a fortnightly basis. We are focused on creating genuine, long term connections between volunteers and our Leisure Buddy participants. Therefore, we require a minimum commitment of 12 months and two to three hours per fortnight.
