Want to help restore our native bushland? Bassendean Preservaton Group (BPG) is a local community bushcare group. We are looking for volunteers to help out at our native plant nursery in Ascot on Wednesday mornings, on a regular basis. Also to help out with bushland plantings on occasional weekend mornings throughout the year, mostly in winter. We plant around the Bassendean area, mostly around the foreshore and wetland areas. You are welcome to come on either Wednesdays, weekends, or both.

Our beautiful gardens is growing and growing and... and we would love some extra hands for just a bit weeding while you can reflect in a beautiful environmental setting near the coast :) Can you help us keep our garden neat and tidy, we are looking for your assistance. We’re looking for volunteers to help us build a fence to protect the livestock, soil and future of our working community farm. Spend the afternoon with skilled Farm staff in the Stables Paddock learning practical fencing skills and making a long-term contribution to Collingwood Children’s Farm.

Our reservoir reserves are home to beautiful landscapes and unique flora and fauna. Join a group of like-minded people and help nurture these special places. You'll be actively involved in caring for your local reservoir reserve and enhancing the experience for visitors. Activities include bushcare, revegetation, habitat improvement, biodiversity surveys (e.g. birds, frogs, plants), fish stocking and supporting community events.
