We will be planting native vegetation to create Urban Shade Forests, to help cool our cities, create habitat for native animals and connect the local community. Girl Guide Leaders provide effective leadership of their unit in order to deliver a high quality program to Guides in a safe environment. While working in the Guide Unit you will be part of a team of unit leaders supported by your District Leader. Volunteer Guide Leaders are valued and supported and recognised for their effort.

Mercy Works is currently recruiting volunteers to support students from a refugee asylum seeker background in Melbourne and Ballarat Government and Private Schools through their Mercy Connect Project. The project aims to provide mentoring for children, young people and young adults to optimize their literacy development and academic and social learning.

Are you concerned about the amount of rubbish on our coastline? Adopt a Spot are recruiting volunteers to nominate an area of coastline to manage the removal of marine debris. Tasks will include daily cleans, collation of data (taking pictures of marine debris & reporting back on data via email or social media), disposal of materials in accordance with Local Council rubbish/recycling guidelines and provide community education in sustainable practices.
