We will be planting native vegetation to create Urban Shade Forests, to help cool our cities, create habitat for native animals and connect the local community. Our retail area is open to the public for plant sales. More indigenous plants in gardens and larger revegetation projects provide habitat for native animals, birds and insects, and reduce species loss. We rely on volunteers but lockdowns hit us hard. Please help us get back to the thriving nursery from before the pandemic!

Our reservoir reserves are home to beautiful landscapes and unique flora and fauna. Join a group of like-minded people and help nurture these special places. You'll be actively involved in caring for your local reservoir reserve and enhancing the experience for visitors. Activities include bushcare, revegetation, habitat improvement, biodiversity surveys (e.g. birds, frogs, plants), fish stocking and supporting community events.

Wetlands are a powerful ally in tackling climate change by capturing blue carbon, protecting our coasts from wild weather events, and cleaning our water. They’re also vital to tackling the decline in biodiversity as well. Unfortunately, only 5% of Australia’s Wetlands remain – it’s time to invest in nature-based solutions to these challenges.

As an Adventure Buddy, you play a key role to ensure everyone is included, safe & having fun.

Come and join our volunteer bush care team at Laratinga Wetlands Mount Barker. Fresh air, being active and socialising with like-minded environmentally conscious people while having fun.

Our Tourism volunteers focus on building a positive experience for our guests and visitors. They are advocates and ambassadors for the Nature Foundation and love the opportunity to be in nature and share positive stories. Reserve Hosts stay onsite on reserves for 1 – 2 weeks to support visitors and guests and act as a friendly, informative, and helpful face of Nature Foundation on our Reserves.
