We are a dynamic non-profit organisation; established to provide information, support and access to resources for people affected by limb loss. HorsePower Hills has provided recreational horse riding sessions for children and young people with diverse abilities for over 40 years. This is an exciting time for HorsePower Hills as it progresses building a new riding centre and expanding its riding programs to meet community need. The brave solo refugee Mums who make SchoolKits for Congo also make beautiful buntings from bright African fabrics, and teach other Mums to do the same. We sell them in Australia and return the proceeds to the makers so that they can pay the school fees for their children to be educated. The Volunteers primary role is to assist the participants to ride a wave! Each participant has a different disability which can either be physical, intellectual or both. Disabled Surfers Association - SA Branch assist them to enjoy the experience of surfing & ensure they stay safe & injury free in the process. A surfing background is an advantage for volunteers but not essential. However you need to be a physically fit, aged 17+ & be comfortable in the water for periods of up to 2 hours.
