Dedicate 4 hours a week from home, providing compassionate phone support to caregivers and the bereaved. Violet Guides deliver this support over the phone, at no cost to the carer. Australian Refugee Volunteers (ARV) is an entirely volunteer-run non-religious and apolitical organisation that runs exciting programs for children from asylum seeker and refugee backgrounds in Sydney. Our excursions are a mix of fun and developmental activities that give our clients skills and confidence whilst allowing them to just be kids for the day! Volunteers collect children, bring them together as a program group for the activity, and then drop them home at the end of the day.
