PCYC Queensland’s Braking the Cycle program supports young people to complete their mandatory 100 hours of supervised driving in a safe and suitable vehicle with a volunteer mentor. The vehicles are kindly donated by the community. Mercy Works is currently recruiting volunteers to support students from a refugee asylum seeker background in Melbourne and Ballarat Government and Private Schools through their Mercy Connect Project. The project aims to provide mentoring for children, young people and young adults to optimize their literacy development and academic and social learning.

Maroondah Winter Shelter provides a safe and warm place for homeless males to stay overnight during the winter months, 7 nights per week. Home cooked meals are provided. As a volunteer you would be making a difference to the lives of those who have been sleeping rough. Being able to listen, show care and treat our guests with dignity and compassion is what we ask for.

Can you help to heat up meals, serve meals or do dishes? Chat with guests and share a meal with them. Our guests are isolated or financially disadvantaged people who need some extra support with meals and being with community.
