Meals on Wheels Fraser Community has been operating for 56 years in the local area, delivering 2500 each week to approximately 500 clients. Our volunteers find the experience of volunteering for MOW very rewarding, and many have been with us for more than 10 years, and have formed lifetime friendships with staff, volunteers and clients.

• Making sandwiches, salads • Cutting up fruit and vegetables • Dishing up meals • Slicing meat • Wrapping produce • Read and understand meal labels • Assisting in organising produce • Keeping all kitchen surfaces clean and tidy • Complete all training as required • Always conduct yourself in accordance with the Code of Conduct, MOWFC Policies and Procedures, and the Aged Care Standards • Other duties as reasonably requested by the Manager or the Chef

We are looking for an compassionate volunteer who can take our lonely client out once a week. Our client loves the beach and would like someone to drive her to the beach from her house once a week. she is full of life and still wants to remain active.

As a Community Connections Volunteer, you play a key role in helping clients reconnect with their local community and encouraging them to do the things they love. Our Community Connections program supports our clients who are at risk of feeling lonely or isolated, by providing them with social visits.

Our residents living at our Wayville Aged Care Home really miss the family pets they had in their family homes. Animals bring great joy to others hearts and the social chit chat and a pat bring smiles and fill hearts. All volunteers must have up to date Influenza vaccinations, the Covid-19 vaccinations and a Police clearance to work in Aged Care.

In this role you will assist in food preparation, food service and kitchen hand duties across all operations of the hospitality team.
