Special Olympics Melbourne Inner East (MIE) is seeking a skilled volunteer to join our Club Leadership Team (LT) with the goal to transition into the Chair role during 2024. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and drive the future of Australia's largest Special Olympics club. MIE helps people with an intellectual disability to participate in sport to enhance wellbeing, sense of purpose and community connections.

The committee looks after the association’s affairs. It has legal duties under the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 (the Act). It is sometimes referred to as the ‘management committee’ or ‘board’.

The Youth Advocacy Group provides an overview of actions in support of young people residing in the City of Whittlesea. The group is youth-led and leads a range of topics pertaining to youth and advocates for issues to be addressed. This opportunity gives young people autonomy and leadership to voice and work towards the changes they’d like to see in their communities.
