YPRL is seeking a new **Reading Dogs team** to join Thomastown Library. Our Reading Dogs program promotes children’s literacy by having children read aloud to dogs at the library. Our mission is to make reading fun and enjoyable for children so that they become confident and lifelong readers. Reading Dogs are accredited companion animals who volunteer with their owner/handler as a team by facilitating reading sessions. We are looking for someone to help with our Toy Library borrowing sessions. Our volunteers help our borrowing sessions to run smoothly and help us keep our toys in good condition, and are only possible thanks to our wonderful volunteers! We require assistance with checking returned toys, re-shelving toys, and helping members find new toys to take home!
