Help people living with mild intellectual disabilities to enjoy a range of activities.

We are urgently seeking volunteers who are happy to help with functions and events. Events include our Old Style Dance, Morning Melodies, Regular Munchys - our Sausage Sizzle Style event, and varied other special events and private hire functions. We need Volunteers for set up, pack down for functions as well assistance with kitchen, wait staff, admission staff, baristas and bar staff. We are happy to provide training in these areas, just need nice people willing to help and learn.

Volunteers assist our customers to participate in programs, and add value to the services that we offer. As a volunteer, you don’t need any specific qualifications or experience, just a genuine interest to empower people with disabilities and a willingness to share your skills. Volunteers are people just like you!

We seek volunteers for our Community Engagement Program, which operates at Malahang Reserve in West Heidelberg.

In 2022 Open House launched a social enterprise café called Whispers, with the aim to empower people who have faced disadvantage and been excluded from work opportunities. We are currently seeking volunteers to assist in our cafe.
