A Consumer Advisor is a member of our community who can voice a lived experience of health care at Western Health. They participate in committees, focus groups, projects and a range of other activities to ensure the patient perspective is always considered. Consumer Advisors are part of the Western Health community and should reflect the diversity of our community

This volunteer HR Cordinator role will be responsible for coordinating and administering the delivery of a full suite of HR services. Reporting to the HR Manager, the Volunteer HR Coordinator will work collaboratively with the HR team to provide support, coordination and administration in Recruitment and HR Projects to deliver a full range of HR services to the organisation.

As a volunteer Project Coordinator, you will actively assist the Project Manager and respective project professionals to support the delivery of the program and individual project objectives. You will play a pivotal role in organizing meetings, proposing improvement opportunities to current ways of doing things and building strong relationships with key stakeholders and reporting the progress of projects to all stakeholders.

The role of the Newsletter expert and contributor will ensure that the newsletter is prepared on time and disseminated via different platforms. Management of social media contents.

It's a talent to create a newsletter that’s engaging and interesting - to promote what's going on in the community and also be informative. It's challenging to retain and increase readership. It takes creativity and innovation plus great writing to make sure that it's read and not just deleted or discarded. MDFA's Peer Support Groups provide a safe and welcoming space for people living with aged-related macular degeneration to share their stories and ask questions of their peers. The Peer Support Facilitator role is well suited to someone with good communications skills and confidence in public speaking. Ideally you will have experience facilitating a peer support group and/or demonstrate the ability to lead a balanced discussion.
