The Volunteer Driver is responsible for the transportation of Beyond Blindness Members to various services offered by the organisation including social groups, bus trips and occasional medical/shopping trips and can include one-on-one social time. Volunteers are welcomed as part of the small team in the southern area. All volunteers are given training to assist blind persons. The Volunteer Driver will be required to use their own vehicle which will need to have comprehensive insurance.

Community Visitors uphold the Human Rights of people living in supported care. They visit accommodation facilities and monitor and report on the adequacy of services provided. This role is ideally suited to individuals who are able to visit during day-time hours or late afternoons and who can make a commitment of two years.
