The Open Support Community Companion Program offers one to one phone calls to people experiencing social isolation and/or loneliness. This volunteer role offers companionship and social support based on the Open Support values of Compassion, Dignity, Excellence, Justice and Unity. We are seeking a compassionate volunteer for a 5-week program. In this role, you will be assisting with the KNOW YOUR GIZMO program. Year 10 students from Wodonga Senior Secondary College will assist senior citizens in our community to use electronic devices such as iPads, mobile phones, laptops, and smartwatches. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate communication and ensure the needs of the senior citizens and students are met during these interactions.
