Do you enjoy hands-on work in interesting places? Are you looking to share your skills, or develop new skills, in gardening or maintenance? The National Trust (NSW) is currently recruiting volunteers to work as valuable members of the Trust’s Green Team at our prestigious Maitland property!

We are looking for someone who can help with the gardening or groundsman work at the school. The school grounds need regular cleaning, gardening, trimming bushes and trees, leave blowing etc. Ideally the person can also repair small things and help with small tasks like hanging pictures, building small shelves and etc. Preferably supply own tools.

The Peer Support Facilitator role is well suited to someone with good communications skills and confidence in public speaking. Ideally you will have experience facilitating a peer support group and/or demonstrate the ability to lead a balanced discussion.

Test & Tag all electrical items that are donated to our Op Shop, deeming the electrical item safe for use.

You will already have the skills to fix one or more of the following: * electrical/electronic/mechanical items * clothing/bedding/other * textiles, jewellery, toys, woodwork, metalwork, bicycles, * and/or other general items You will be able to provide advice to visitors about whether specific items * can be fixed & the parts needed.

Volunteers will be sorting all items donated including clothing, bric a brac, books, shoes etc for retail.

We are seeking volunteers to help us with a 'hands on' approach to do maintenance work, painting, clearing the grounds, gardening and burning a bonfire or two. This maybe an opportunity for Corporate Volunteering.
