This role is greatly appreciated in relieving other committee members of additional duties. The role is especially suited to lovers of books / jigsaw puzzles and/or games. The role is crucial for our organisation to continue.

This position is appointed by the Board to fill a casual vacancy for a three year term, with the ability to seek reappointment for up to nine years. The role is responsible for fulfilling the Finance, Risk and Audit Committee’s terms of reference, primarily to assist the Board in maintaining a sound corporate governance framework and undertaking its fiduciary duties and responsibilities. The role leads a Committee of a minimum of three members.

Australian Refugee Volunteers (ARV) is an entirely volunteer-run non-religious and apolitical organisation that runs exciting programs for children from asylum seeker and refugee backgrounds in Sydney. Our excursions are a mix of fun and developmental activities that give our clients skills and confidence whilst allowing them to just be kids for the day!
