This position is appointed by the Board to fill a casual vacancy for a three year term, with the ability to seek reappointment for up to nine years. The role is responsible for fulfilling the Finance, Risk and Audit Committee’s terms of reference, primarily to assist the Board in maintaining a sound corporate governance framework and undertaking its fiduciary duties and responsibilities. Kingston Toy Library is a wholly member owned toy library, serving the local community with over 2000 toys. We operate just like a book library but with toys. Volunteering with us will give you the opportunity to experience how a library service operates as you assist with all aspects of library operations. You will gain skills of value for the workplace, be a valued part of the team, while also having the experience of a community run service.

Seeking lovers of books or organising wizards to volunteer in a primary school library for a minimum of few hours per week. Schools are often overburdened and under resourced. They rely heavily on the generosity of their local community members so that the children attending have a safe and congenial learning environment.
