Cycling Without Age (CWA) is a not-for-profit charity that connects those who can no longer ride themselves, with their community and the outdoors. Our Pilots are everyone from directors to senior citizens and students (aged 18yrs +). Volunteering with CWA positively impact the lives of the elderly or people with disabilities by giving them free trishaw rides on e-bikes. For Girls aged 5yrs to 17 years who want fun, new friendship, and adventure! We meet on Thursdays during school terms, 5.30pm to 7.00pm. We provide leadership & personal skills development through the Australian Guide Program. As well as regular meetings we also go on camps, excursions and participate in community events. A Driver and Delivery person is needed to support CareWorks' Community Programs. A Volunteer Driver is urgently needed to collect goods from local donation bins, and deliver them to the shops. Volunteers can also assist with safe storage and manual handling of goods as necessary and other delivery/ transport as needed. Suitable for Centrelink Volunteers. There is a range of volunteer opportunities both in and around Newcastle. No skills are required! Teams are mobilised to conduct landscaping, painting and minor repairs to homes and crisis accommodation.

You will be working with a small team in a supervised, supported environment. You don’t need to be a teacher – a delight in talking with kids is the main skill we are seeking. Our Schools Team lead school activities in the Museum, as well as running off-site programs through our History on the Move trailer. Volunteers must be vaccinated.
