We are looking for an compassionate volunteer who can take our lonely client out once a week. Our client loves the beach and would like someone to drive her to the beach from her house once a week. she is full of life and still wants to remain active.

Our Community Connections program supports our clients in Perth metropolitan and some regional locations who are at risk of feeling lonely or isolated, by providing them with social visits. As a Community Connections Volunteer, you play a key role in helping clients reconnect with their local community and encouraging them to do the things they love.

Feeling that we have good social connections is vital for our health, especially as we age. It can be a great comfort to have a person to talk to who is there just for you. Volunteers in Lifeline WA’s Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) fill that role, reducing loneliness in our local community. We are currently looking for an Italian speaking volunteer for an isolated Italian speaking lady who lives in her own home. Do you live near Mooroolbark and can you spare 1 hour per fortnight? This lady would benefit greatly from regular contact by a visitor/friend. Regular contacts or visits have a positive impact in reducing social isolation and improving the well-being of the resident.
