Volunteer Project Manager

About this opportunity

As a project manager you will provide leadership and high-level project management to Get2Know.You will be managing the life cycle of the project from a scheduling and timing perspective. You will also ensure project achieves milestones and quality as stated in SOW

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project planning sessions
  • Mentor and manage large and diverse teams to drive results
  • Manage project progress and adapt work as required
  • Ensure projects meet deadlines
  • Manage relationships between different stakeholders
  • Oversee all incoming and outgoing project documentation
  • Design risk mitigation plan
  • Conduct project review and creating detailed reports for executive staff
  • Optimize and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary
  • Planning the team schedule with the Team Leader
  • Participate in initiatives in building and maintaining a knowledge library within the team
  • Develop and maintain expertise in relevant project domain

Desirable Criteria:

  • Hands-on experience in end-to-end project delivery
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage a team
  • A Tertiary qualification in project management or a related degree with the equivalent knowledge and skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills
  • Willingness to learn and work autonomously
  • Strong planning with an ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines, manage dependencies, assumptions, risks and issues and instill stakeholder confidence
  • Ability to read the room and tailor communication styles accordingly
  • Experience in working both Agile delivery environments
  • Scrum experience, able to educate teams on frameworks
