The services are both internal and external to SCHS and together have a ‘no wrong door’ approach to navigating the individual health and wellbeing pathways of families and children. We are run by a dedicated and passionate volunteer committee and member volunteers. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to weekly or fortnightly shifts on Saturday mornings between 10am - 1pm. This could be for the full 3 hours or just a couple of hours.

We have a large suite of programs to offer the public. We are expanding into the City of Knox from Break 40 Cafe at 40/1880 Ferntree Gully Rd. We need local volunteers to assist us to recruit participants to our programs and to help cement these programs as regular fixtures for the local community. These are all groups with a therapeutic angle (eg men's & women's support groups, artistic expression opportunity groups like open mic nights, kids breakfast club or after-school safe spaces.

Do you want to make a real, practical difference by supporting people who are facing many challenges? Volunteering in this role will enable more families of Kids First to access our therapeutic services safely and affordably, and in a supportive and comfortable environment. Lots of training and support will be offered in this important NEW volunteer program!
