The Helping Hand Project is a community-based organisation. Our vision is to provide youth of refugee background with supportive Mentors, so that they can achieve their goals and reach their dreams.

We are currently seeking client intake officer to join our team and support the community to access free legal advice.

Provide access and supervision for driving practice for learner drivers.

Run and supervise a fortnightly group of 10 volunteers providing emotional support for mothers of newborn babies and pregnant women.

Interchange is a program within UMFC’s Carer Aged and Disability Service and provides support to children and young people with disability and their families/carers. Interchange is supported by volunteers to create social and recreational opportunities through group and individual activities.Volunteer Host carers provide a very special opportunity to support and enhance the life of a young person with a disability, their family and primary carers.

Community Visitors uphold the Human Rights of people living in supported care. They visit accommodation facilities and monitor and report on the adequacy of services provided. This role is ideally suited to individuals who are able to visit during day-time hours or late afternoons and who can make a commitment of two years. Training will be provided to support you in the role.

As a Local Coordinator, you will provide additional support to a High School Exchange student from overseas who is living with a host family and attending High School in your local community. A Local Coordinator must live within 2 hours of where a student is living. If you are interested in other cultures, young people and families, this role is perfect for you. You may have been an exchange student or host family yourself - but that is not a requirement.

Volunteer as a Facilitator to guide students through the digital resources and conduct facilitated small group discussion at Courage to Care workshops for Victorian students. The purpose is to help students explore their personal experiences, attitudes and behaviour to empower them to become effective Upstanders when encountering situations of racism, prejudice, bullying or discrimination.
