This will have you involved with helping folks collect bowls, prepare morning tea & other things that help the group facilitator. You don’t need to be a bowler, just like being around older people. ACH has a monthly movie gig – at Wallis Noarlunga Cinema. On the last Wednesday of the month, they are looking for someone to help welcome customers, help link them together in chat & assist with morning tea! As one of the Repair Volunteers, you will assist visitors to the repair cafe to: * fix their broken/damaged household items. You will already have the skills to fix one or more of the following: * electrical/electronic/mechanical items * clothing/bedding/other * textiles, jewellery, toys, woodwork, metalwork, bicycles, * and/or other general items You will be able to provide advice to visitors about whether specific items * can be fixed & the parts needed.

The Volunteers primary role is to assist the participants to ride a wave! Each participant has a different disability which can either be physical, intellectual or both. Disabled Surfers Association - SA Branch assist them to enjoy the experience of surfing & ensure they stay safe & injury free in the process. A surfing background is an advantage for volunteers but not essential. However you need to be a physically fit, aged 17+ & be comfortable in the water for periods of up to 2 hours.
