Together we can push back against funding for dirty gas expansion, and champion climate solutions for our communities. A small team of volunteers approx 8 on each shift who are dedicated to caring for the wildlife who live at Kanyana permanently.

Do you want to do something that is hands on? Assist the Friends of Bennett Brook in bush regeneration activities to help restore Bennett Brook. The Friends of Bennett Brook are working to restore Bennett Brook as a healthy ecosystem for fauna, linking Whiteman Park to the Swan River. Let's join hands in doing some dryland/wetland planting, weeding and rubbish collection.

Everyone is welcome to volunteer at parkrun events. We have heaps of fun, simple and rewarding opportunities to lend a hand for one to two hours on a Saturday morning at parkrun events across Australia. No training is required, roles are fully supported on the day and you can take part as often or as little as you would like. You can volunteer as a marshal, timekeeper, photographer or try your hand at scanning barcodes and handing out tokens…..to name a few of the roles we have available.

Join our team and get involved in a variety of practical conservation activities at our focus wetlands, as part of our Revive our Wetlands initiative.

Want to help restore our native bushland? Bassendean Preservaton Group (BPG) is a local community bushcare group. We are looking for volunteers to help out at our native plant nursery in Ascot on Wednesday mornings, on a regular basis. Also to help out with bushland plantings on occasional weekend mornings throughout the year, mostly in winter. We plant around the Bassendean area, mostly around the foreshore and wetland areas. You are welcome to come on either Wednesdays, weekends, or both.
