Chung Wah Community Care (CC) is a group under the Chung Wah Association. CC’s goal is to provide care for the seniors, people living with disabilities, and their carers, particularly those from the non-English speaking backgrounds, in Perth metropolitan area.

We are looking for an event host is to plan and host small gatherings to bring together members of our Social Network. Members of the Network are from all walks of life, including people with intellectual or physical disabilities, mental health issues, people from different cultural backgrounds, as well as general members of the community. For many members of the group, this is their only experience to communicate with a person who understands their difficulty, is genuinely interested in their opinions, and is prepared to help them find a way to express themselves. The role facilitates interaction practise between each member and the leader, as well as between all group members.

The coordinator role oversees the running of up to four (4) communication groups which occur regularly in the south metropolitan area. These groups assist people with communication difficulties after stroke or brain injury, to practise conversation skills. Primarily, this role involves supporting the leaders of these groups, recruiting and training new volunteer leaders, and providing the groups with up-to-date information, up-coming events and resources.

Timor Leste Vision (TLV) is a volunteer, not-for-profit, non-government organisation based in Perth, Western Australia, and in Dili, Timor Leste, • Provide a current financial management report at each meeting (6 weekly) • Monitor the organisation’s expenditure • Pay invoices as needed • Issue Tax Receipt for donations • Liaise with the Auditor to ensure the financial statements are Audited in time to be presented at the AGM • Reconcile Bank Statements with expenditure from Timor Leste
