We need your to to keep our toy library organised and our toys in optimal condition. You will work alongside our toy library coordinator to assist with cataloguing toys; cleaning and checking toys and putting toys away and generally help to make our toy library a welcoming place for our community to visit. **Note Toy cataloguing can be done at home/off site if you'd prefer **

You will be matched with families and tasks based on your experience, skills and interests and the family’s needs. We would like you to commit for 12 months and to be flexible when volunteering. The role of a playgroup volunteer is to support the leader who runs the group. It involves set up, pack up, helping to run free play, mat time, arts and craft, snack and outdoor play. It’s an opportunity to support families in the community who have young children and to encourage them to be meaningfully engaged in activities that help with their development.

We have local families in the City of Monash who need a volunteer to come to their home once a week for company and some practical support. You could be assisting with feeding and settling babies, playing with toddlers and being a support through listening and companionship.

The Boroondara Family Network supports families living in the City of Boroondara with children under the age of six. The volunteer visits the parents home to provide parenting support for the families. The volunteer provides practical help (holding/playing with the baby), friendly support and encouragement in a non judgemental manner. The volunteers are available to engage in adult conversation and be a listening ear. They may assist families to access other community services where appropriate
