Volunteers with the Supported Playgroup offer their time, enthusiasm and encouragement to support the children and families attending the playgroup. They assist with set up, morning tea and activities.

You will be matched with families and tasks based on your experience, skills and interests and the family’s needs. We would like you to commit for 12 months and to be flexible when volunteering. The support you are expected to give will vary from family to family and may change during your time with us. We will provide you with adequate training and supervision.

We have a large suite of programs to offer the public. We are expanding into the City of Knox from Break 40 Cafe at 40/1880 Ferntree Gully Rd. We need local volunteers to assist us to recruit participants to our programs and to help cement these programs as regular fixtures for the local community. These are all groups with a therapeutic angle (eg men's & women's support groups, artistic expression opportunity groups like open mic nights, kids breakfast club or after-school safe spaces.

Music can heal, uplift and even transform lives but the people who need it most often have the least access to it. That is where A Sound Life comes in - we do all the legwork to make it easy for you to simply turn up and perform your music either live over Zoom or directly to patients by their bedside in hospitals. Our next Musician Training Day is happening on Sunday, April 28 from 10am-3pm at Together2, Rozelle in Sydney and via Zoom.
