Through our volunteer programs, we provide social support and friendship to people with a cognitive disability and older Australians who are at risk of loneliness and social isolation.

The Bridge is always looking for volunteers that are willing to support people living with disabilities and disadvantaged backgrounds to enjoy a range of recreational and sporting activities. Special Olympics Melbourne Inner East (MIE) is looking for a skilled volunteer to coordinate our communications team and content delivery, and represent this team through reporting to and sitting on the MIE Committee, as Communications Coordinator. Special Olympics is a not for profit organisation with the singular goal of helping those with an intellectual disability to participate in sport to enhance their physical and mental wellbeing, sense of purpose and community connections.
